Opinion Editorial

Is this part of the "stimulus" package?
by Catherine Moore-Barry

With so many Americans out of work, losing their homes, and projections pointing to the number of job losses and foreclosures going even higher, one has to wonder why 2.6 million taxpayer dollars are being allocated to teach Chinese prostitutes how to "drink responsibly" on their job? One has to ask themselves three things when confronting this kind of spending by our leaders.

1. How will the drinking habits of Chinese prostitutes affect us?

2. How does this improve or solve problems that Americans are currently dealing with? (i.e., improve the economy, create new jobs, or put more cash into our coffers?)

3. When was the last time China funded a program to help Americans in need?

The story can be read here.

I will research this item and update with more information later.
